Eszopic 2mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Eszopiclone, which is a sedative-hypnotic medication used primarily for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Eszopiclone belongs to a class of drugs known as nonbenzodiazepine receptor agonists, which work by enhancing the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that inhibits brain activity. This action helps induce sleep and improve sleep maintenance.

Indications:

Eszopic 2mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of insomnia characterized by difficulty falling asleep and/or staying asleep.

Dosage and Administration:

• The dosage of Eszopic 2mg Tablet should be individualized based on the severity of insomnia and individual response to treatment.
• The recommended starting dose for most adults is 2mg taken orally once daily immediately before bedtime.
• In some cases, a lower initial dose of 1mg may be appropriate, especially in elderly patients, individuals with hepatic impairment, or those taking concomitant medications that may increase eszopiclone levels.
• The maximum recommended dose of Eszopic 2mg Tablet is 3mg once daily.
