Foracort 200 Inhaler

Foracort 200 Inhaler contains Formoterol Fumarate as its active ingredient. It belongs to a class of medications called long-acting beta agonists (LABAs). It is used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Features:

• Bronchodilator: Formoterol Fumarate works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, which helps to open up the air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe.
• Inhalation: Foracort 200 Inhaler is administered through inhalation, delivering the medication directly to the lungs.

Uses:

• Asthma: Foracort 200 Inhaler is indicated for the long-term management of asthma in adults and children aged 6 years and older. It helps to prevent asthma attacks and improve lung function.
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): It is also used for the maintenance treatment of COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, to reduce symptoms and exacerbations.

Administration:

• Shake the inhaler well before each use.
• Prime the inhaler if it is being used for the first time or has not been used for a certain period of time, as instructed by the healthcare provider.
• Breathe out fully, place the mouthpiece of the inhaler between the lips, and inhale deeply and forcefully while pressing down on the canister to release the medication.
• Hold the breath for a few seconds, then exhale slowly.
• Rinse the mouth with water after using the inhaler to reduce the risk of oral candidiasis (thrush).

Precautions:
