Noxane 80mg Injection

Noxane 80mg Injection contains the active ingredient Enoxaparin Sodium. It is a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) anticoagulant used for the prevention and treatment of various thromboembolic disorders. Enoxaparin Sodium works by inhibiting the activity of certain clotting factors, particularly Factor Xa, thereby preventing the formation of blood clots.

Uses:

1. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Prophylaxis: Noxane 80mg Injection is indicated for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis in patients undergoing surgery, particularly orthopedic surgery such as hip or knee replacement.
2. Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis: It may also be used for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
3. Unstable Angina and Non-ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction: Enoxaparin Sodium is sometimes used in combination with aspirin for the treatment of unstable angina and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI).

Mechanism of Action:

Enoxaparin Sodium enhances the activity of antithrombin III, a natural anticoagulant in the body, which in turn inhibits the activity of Factor Xa and thrombin. By blocking these clotting factors, Enoxaparin Sodium prevents the conversion of fibrinogen into fibrin, thereby reducing the formation of blood clots.

Dosage and Administration:

• The dosage of Noxane 80mg Injection and the duration of treatment depend on the patient’s weight, renal function, and the specific indication being treated.
• It is administered subcutaneously, typically in the abdomen, using a fine needle or pre-filled syringe.
• The injection site should be rotated to prevent irritation or bruising.

Side Effects:

Common side effects of Enoxaparin Sodium therapy may include bruising, bleeding at the injection site, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), and allergic reactions. Serious side effects such as bleeding, hematoma formation, and heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) may occur less frequently.

Precautions:

• Patients receiving treatment with Noxane 80mg Injection should be monitored regularly for signs of bleeding and thrombocytopenia.
• Enoxaparin Sodium should be used with caution in patients with a history of bleeding disorders, severe liver or kidney disease, or recent surgery or trauma.
• It is contraindicated in patients with active major bleeding, bacterial endocarditis, or a known hypersensitivity to heparin or pork products.
