Description:

The Salbomatic Spacer is a plastic device that attaches to the mouthpiece of a metered-dose inhaler (MDI). It includes a chamber that holds the medication released by the inhaler. The purpose of the spacer is to improve the delivery of the medication to the lungs by slowing down and dispersing the aerosolized particles, making it easier for the patient to inhale and ensuring more effective distribution throughout the airways.

Indications:

The Salbomatic Spacer is indicated for use with metered-dose inhalers containing bronchodilators such as salbutamol (albuterol) or other medications prescribed for the treatment of asthma or COPD.

Instructions for Use:

1. Remove the cap from the MDI and shake it well.
2. Insert the mouthpiece of the MDI into the opening at one end of the Salbomatic Spacer.
3. Exhale fully and then place the mouthpiece of the spacer in your mouth, forming a tight seal with your lips.
4. Press down on the canister of the MDI to release one puff of medication into the spacer.
5. Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth, coordinating the inhalation with the actuation of the MDI.
6. Hold your breath for a few seconds before exhaling slowly.
7. If additional doses are prescribed, wait for the recommended interval between puffs before repeating the process.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Wash the Salbomatic Spacer with warm water and mild detergent after each use.
• Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to clean the spacer.
• Check the spacer regularly for signs of damage or wear and replace if necessary.
