Tenofomide 25mg Tablet

Tenofomide 25mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Tenofovir Disoproxil, which belongs to a class of antiviral drugs known as nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Tenofovir Disoproxil is used in the treatment of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It works by inhibiting the activity of the reverse transcriptase enzyme, thereby blocking the replication of the virus and reducing its ability to spread in the body.

Indications:

Tenofomide 25mg Tablet is indicated for the following conditions:

• Treatment of HIV-1 infection in combination with other antiretroviral agents in adults and pediatric patients weighing at least 17 kg.
• Treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adults.

Dosage and Administration:

• The recommended dosage of Tenofomide 25mg Tablet for HIV-1 infection in adults and pediatric patients weighing at least 17 kg is one tablet taken orally once daily with or without food.
• For the treatment of chronic HBV infection, the recommended dosage is one tablet taken orally once daily with or without food.
• Dosage adjustments may be required based on renal function and in patients with renal impairment.

Precautions:

• Patients should be monitored regularly for renal function, bone mineral density, and signs of lactic acidosis or hepatotoxicity during treatment with Tenofomide 25mg Tablet.
• Use with caution in patients with a history of renal impairment or bone disorders.
• Avoid coadministration with other medications that may cause renal toxicity or interact with Tenofovir Disoproxil.

Contraindications:

• Tenofomide 25mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tenofovir Disoproxil or any components of the formulation.
