Zoycin 4.5mg Injection

Zoycin 4.5mg Injection is a combination antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial infections. It contains two active ingredients: piperacillin & tazobactam. Piperacillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, while tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the activity of piperacillin by protecting it from bacterial enzymes that can render it ineffective.

Composition:

Each vial of Zoycin 4.5mg Injection contains:

• Piperacillin Sodium equivalent to Piperacillin 4g
• Tazobactam Sodium equivalent to Tazobactam 0.5g

Indications:

Zoycin 4.5mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of the following bacterial infections:

• Lower respiratory tract infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Skin and skin structure infections
• Gynecological infections
• Bacterial septicemia
• Bone and joint infections
• Febrile neutropenia

Dosage and Administration:

• The dosage of Zoycin 4.5mg Injection depends on the severity of the infection, the patient’s weight, and renal function.
• It is usually administered intravenously over a period of 20 to 30 minutes.
• Dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with impaired renal function.

Precautions:

• Before using Zoycin 4.5mg Injection, inform your healthcare provider about any known allergies to penicillins or cephalosporins.
