BUDESONIDE
Budesonide is a corticosteroid used as an inhaler to prevent asthma symptoms, as a nasal spray for allergies, and in some bowel conditions.
What Budesonide Is Used For
- Preventing asthma symptoms, in inhaler form
- Allergic rhinitis, in nasal spray form
- Certain inflammatory bowel conditions
Common Side Effects
- Inhaler: hoarse voice or oral thrush
- Nasal spray: nosebleeds or dryness
- Throat irritation
Precautions
Rinse your mouth after using the inhaler to lower the chance of oral thrush. Budesonide prevents symptoms rather than relieving a sudden asthma attack, so keep your reliever inhaler to hand. Use it regularly for the best effect, and do not stop without advice.
