CEFOTAXIME
Cefotaxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic given by injection, usually in hospital or a clinic. It reaches infections that oral antibiotics cannot treat effectively.

Precautions
This medicine is administered by trained staff, not self-injected. Tell the doctor before treatment if you have ever reacted badly to penicillin or any cephalosporin, as reactions can carry across the group. Let them know about kidney problems, since the dose may need adjusting.
