Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic taken by mouth. It treats a range of common bacterial infections and comes as tablets and suspension.

Precautions
Take cefpodoxime with food for better absorption and finish the full course, even after you feel better. It has no effect on viral illness such as colds and flu. Tell your doctor about any past reaction to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics.
