SERTRALINE
Sertraline is an antidepressant from the SSRI group, used for depression and several anxiety-related conditions. It is taken once a day and works gradually.

- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Common Side Effects
- Nausea, especially early on
- Difficulty sleeping
- Headache
- Loose motions
Precautions
Do not stop sertraline suddenly – the dose is lowered slowly under a doctor’s guidance. It can take three to four weeks before you feel the full benefit, so keep taking it. Tell your doctor if you feel unusually low or restless in the early weeks, and avoid alcohol.
