IBANDRONIC ACID
Ibandronic acid is a bisphosphonate that strengthens bone and reduces the risk of fractures. It is used for osteoporosis and comes as tablets and injection.

Common Side Effects
- Heartburn or stomach discomfort
- Muscle or joint aches
- Flu-like symptoms after the injection
Precautions
Take the tablet first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water, then stay upright and do not eat or drink anything else for the time stated on the pack – this protects the food pipe and helps absorption. Good dental care matters, so tell your dentist you take it.
