Azliv 250mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Azithromycin, which belongs to the class of medications known as macrolide antibiotics. It is prescribed for the treatment of various bacterial infections.

Uses:

Azliv 250mg Tablet is primarily prescribed for the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections: Including sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis.
• Lower respiratory tract infections: Such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
• Skin and soft tissue infections: Including cellulitis and impetigo.
• Genital tract infections: Such as cervicitis and urethritis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.
• Sexually transmitted infections: Including gonorrhea.

Mechanism of Action:

Azithromycin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins, thereby preventing the growth and multiplication of susceptible bacteria. It achieves this by binding to the bacterial ribosome and interfering with protein synthesis.

Administration:
