Description

Uricontrol 5mg Tablet contains solifenacin succinate, an antimuscarinic agent used in the management of overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms. Solifenacin works by blocking the action of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors in the bladder, leading to reduced bladder muscle contractions and alleviation of symptoms such as urgency, frequency, and urinary incontinence associated with OAB.

Uses:

Uricontrol 5mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:

  1. Overactive Bladder (OAB): It is used to relieve symptoms of overactive bladder, including urgency (sudden and strong desire to urinate), frequency (urinating more often than usual), and urinary incontinence (involuntary leakage of urine).
Dosage:

The dosage of Uricontrol 5mg Tablet may vary depending on individual response and healthcare provider recommendations. It is typically taken orally once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

Side Effects:

While generally well-tolerated, Uricontrol 5mg Tablet may cause some side effects, including:

  1. Dry Mouth: Some individuals may experience dryness of the mouth. This can often be relieved by increasing fluid intake or using sugar-free candies or gum.
  2. Constipation: Solifenacin may cause constipation in some patients. Adequate hydration and dietary fiber intake can help alleviate this side effect.
  3. Blurred Vision: Rarely, solifenacin may cause temporary blurred vision or difficulty focusing. Patients should exercise caution when driving or operating machinery if experiencing visual disturbances.
Precautions:

To ensure safe and effective use of Uricontrol 5mg Tablet, consider the following precautions:

  1. Urinary Retention: Uricontrol should be used with caution in patients with bladder outlet obstruction or urinary retention, as it may exacerbate these conditions.
  2. Glaucoma: Solifenacin may increase intraocular pressure and should be used with caution in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma.
  3. Liver or Kidney Impairment: Dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with impaired liver or kidney function. Close monitoring is recommended in these populations.
Contraindications:

Uricontrol 5mg Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to solifenacin succinate or any components of the tablet. It should not be used in patients with urinary retention, gastric retention, or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.
