CALCIUM DOBESILATE
Calcium dobesilate works on the small blood vessels, reducing how leaky they are and improving flow through them. It is prescribed for conditions where poor circulation in tiny vessels causes swelling, heaviness and bleeding.
What Calcium Dobesilate Is Used For
- Piles, particularly bleeding and swelling
- Chronic venous insufficiency, with heavy aching legs and ankle swelling
- Diabetic retinopathy, as supportive treatment
- Varicose veins and related discomfort
Common Side Effects
- Nausea or stomach discomfort
- Loose motions
- Skin rash
- Fever, rarely
Precautions
Take it with food to reduce stomach upset. Report any unexplained fever, sore throat or mouth ulcers, since a rare drop in white cells has been reported and needs a blood check. It supports treatment rather than replacing it, so compression stockings, weight control and diabetic eye reviews still matter.
