CLOTRIMAZOLE
Clotrimazole is an antifungal used on the skin and other surfaces to treat fungal and yeast infections. It comes as cream, powder, drops and pessaries.
What Clotrimazole Is Used For
- Fungal skin infections such as ringworm and athlete’s foot
- Vaginal thrush
- Fungal ear infections
Common Side Effects
- Mild burning or itching where applied
- Skin redness
- Irritation
Precautions
Keep using clotrimazole for the full time advised, even after the rash clears, so the infection does not return. Apply it to clean, dry skin. If there is no improvement after two weeks, or the area becomes more red and sore, see a doctor or pharmacist.
