ADAPALENE
Adapalene is a retinoid gel or cream used to treat acne. It works on the skin to unblock pores and reduce spots over several weeks.
What Adapalene Is Used For
- Acne with blackheads and whiteheads
- Mild to moderate acne
Common Side Effects
- Dryness and peeling
- Redness
- Mild burning or stinging at first
Precautions
Apply a thin layer at night to clean, dry skin, and expect some dryness and irritation in the first weeks that usually settles. Use a moisturiser and daily sunscreen, as skin becomes more sun-sensitive. It takes several weeks to work, so keep going, and avoid using it in pregnancy without advice.
