Agomelatine is an antidepressant that works on the body’s sleep-wake signals. It is used for depression and is usually taken at bedtime.

Precautions

Your doctor will arrange liver blood tests before and during treatment, as agomelatine can affect the liver – report yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine or unusual tiredness at once. It can take a few weeks to feel the benefit. Do not drink alcohol while taking it.
