ALBENDAZOLE
Albendazole is an anti-worm (anthelmintic) medicine used to treat intestinal worm infections. It is often given as a single dose and comes as tablets and suspension.
What Albendazole Is Used For
- Threadworm, roundworm, hookworm and other intestinal worms
- Some tissue infections caused by parasites
Common Side Effects
- Mild stomach upset
- Nausea
- Headache
Precautions
For common threadworm, treating the whole household at once and washing bedding and towels helps stop reinfection. Take albendazole with food. It is generally avoided in pregnancy, so tell your doctor if you could be pregnant.
