Fexofenadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine used for allergy symptoms. It relieves allergies without the sedation of older antihistamines, which makes it suitable for daytime use.

What Fexofenadine Is Used For

  • Sneezing, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes
  • Seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis
  • Itchy skin and hives (urticaria)

Common Side Effects

  • Headache
  • Occasional drowsiness
  • Nausea

Precautions

Fruit juices such as orange, apple and grapefruit can reduce how well fexofenadine is absorbed, so take it with water. If your allergy symptoms do not settle after a few days, or keep returning, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
