Indacaterol
Indacaterol is an ultra-long-acting beta-2 agonist bronchodilator. Inhaled once a day, it keeps the airways open for 24 hours.
What Indacaterol Is Used For
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) maintenance
- Relief of daily breathlessness in COPD
- Combination inhalers with glycopyrronium or steroids, as prescribed
Common Side Effects
- Cough after inhaling
- Runny nose or sore throat
- Headache
- Muscle cramps
- Fast heartbeat
Precautions
Indacaterol capsules are for inhalation with the device only and must not be swallowed. It is not for sudden breathlessness or asthma on its own. Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy or an overactive thyroid.
