Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor that relaxes blood vessels to lower blood pressure and protect the heart. It is taken once a day.

Precautions
A persistent dry cough is a known effect of ACE inhibitors – tell your doctor if it bothers you, as an alternative exists. Stand up slowly when you first start. Your doctor may check kidney function and potassium. Lisinopril must not be taken during pregnancy.
