Prochlorperazine is a phenothiazine medicine that blocks dopamine in the brain. It is mainly used to stop sickness and dizziness.

Vertigo and dizziness from inner ear problems such as Ménière's disease

Some mental health conditions, under specialist care

Common Side Effects

Drowsiness
Dry mouth
Blurred vision
Restlessness or abnormal muscle movements
Low blood pressure on standing

Precautions

Prochlorperazine is not usually given to young children. It can cause drowsiness, so do not drive if affected, and avoid alcohol. Tell your doctor if you have Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, glaucoma or heart problems, or if you notice stiff or uncontrolled movements.
