Precautions

Herbal does not mean without effect. This ingredient may lower blood sugar and can interact with diabetes medicines, so anyone on treatment should check with their doctor. It is generally avoided in pregnancy. Buy from a labelled, registered source rather than loose preparations, and stop if it causes persistent diarrhoea or abdominal pain.
