Uses:

2. Erosive Esophagitis: This medication is also effective in healing and preventing the damage caused to the esophagus by stomach acid, known as erosive esophagitis.
3. Helicobacter pylori Eradication: DXL may be used in combination with antibiotics to help eradicate Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium associated with peptic ulcers.

Side Effects:
