Empaxo M 12.5/500mg Tablet is a combination medication containing two active ingredients: Empagliflozin & Metformin Hydrochloride. It is prescribed for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to help control blood sugar levels.

Components:

• Empagliflozin: Belongs to the class of medications known as sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. It works by reducing the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, leading to increased urinary excretion of glucose and lower blood sugar levels.
• Metformin Hydrochloride: Falls under the category of biguanide antidiabetic agents. It helps decrease the production of glucose in the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin, enhancing the utilization of glucose by cells.

Precautions:

When Not to Use:
