Lancerid 30mg injection contains Lansoprazole (30mg). It comes as a injection. The pack contains 1 vial injection.

Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid. It is usually taken before a meal, most often before breakfast.

Uses of Lancerid 30mg injection

Lancerid 30mg injection is used for:

  • Acidity, heartburn and acid reflux (GERD)
  • Stomach and duodenal ulcers
  • Part of combination treatment for H. pylori

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Lancerid 30mg injection can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Headache
  • Diarrhoea or constipation
  • Nausea

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

Lansoprazole is meant for a defined course rather than indefinite daily use without review. Long-term use can lower magnesium and vitamin B12. See a doctor if heartburn keeps returning after a course, or if you notice weight loss, difficulty swallowing or black stools.
