Sitagen-M 50/1000mg Tablet is a combination medication containing two active ingredients: Sitagliptin & Metformin. Sitagliptin belongs to the class of medications called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, while Metformin is a biguanide antidiabetic agent. This combination is used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to help control blood sugar levels.

Uses:

1. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Sitagen-M 50/1000mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps to improve glycemic control by lowering blood sugar levels through different mechanisms of action. This medication is typically used as an adjunct to diet and exercise in patients whose blood sugar levels are inadequately controlled with either Sitagliptin or Metformin alone.

Side Effects:

While Sitagen-M 50/1000mg Tablet is generally well-tolerated, it may cause side effects in some individuals. Common side effects associated with Sitagliptin and Metformin combination therapy include:
