M-M-R II injection is a live attenuated combination vaccine from Merck Marker (pvt) Ltd. It contains MMR Vaccine. Pack: 0.5ml injection.

What M-M-R II injection Is Used For

M-M-R II injection is used to treat or manage:

  • Prevention of measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella

Side Effects of M-M-R II injection

Possible unwanted effects include:

  • Sore or red injection site
  • Fever
  • Mild rash
  • Swollen glands in the cheeks or neck
  • Irritability or tiredness

Get medical help straight away for signs of a serious reaction, such as swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing or a severe rash.

Before You Use M-M-R II injection

  • It is given by a healthcare professional according to the vaccination schedule.
  • As a live vaccine, it must not be given during pregnancy, and pregnancy should be avoided for one month after vaccination.
  • Tell the vaccinator if the person has a weakened immune system, is on high-dose steroids or cancer treatment, has recently had a blood transfusion or immunoglobulin, or has a severe allergy to neomycin or gelatin.
  • Store it in a refrigerator between 2 and 8°C and protect it from light.

Storage

Keep the injection in its carton to protect it from light, at the temperature printed on the pack. Do not use it if the liquid looks cloudy or discoloured, and keep it away from children.
