Bisnate Tablets 30s contains Iron Sucrose. It comes as a tablet.

Iron sucrose is an injectable form of iron given by a drip or injection to treat iron-deficiency anaemia. It is used when iron tablets are not suitable or not enough.

Uses of Bisnate Tablets 30s

Bisnate Tablets 30s is used for:

  • Iron-deficiency anaemia
  • When iron tablets are not tolerated or not effective
  • Iron replacement in kidney disease

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Bisnate Tablets 30s can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Metallic taste during the injection
  • Temporary low blood pressure
  • Reaction at the injection site

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

Iron sucrose is given by medical staff, who watch for any reaction during the infusion. Tell them about any previous reaction to iron injections. It is only given after a confirmed diagnosis of iron deficiency, not as a general tonic.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Take Bisnate Tablets 30s exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
