Co-amoxiclav combines amoxicillin with clavulanic acid, which helps it work against bacteria that ordinary amoxicillin cannot. It is used for a wide range of bacterial infections.

Precautions

Take it with the first bite of a meal to reduce stomach upset, and finish the full course even after you feel better. Tell your doctor about any past reaction to penicillin. It does not work on colds, flu or other viral illness.
