Precautions

Diazepam can cause dependence, so it is used only for short periods and exactly as prescribed – never increase the dose or share it. It makes many people drowsy, so avoid driving and alcohol. Do not stop it suddenly after regular use, as this needs a gradual reduction guided by your doctor.
