Diclofenac potassium is a fast-acting form of the anti-inflammatory painkiller diclofenac (an NSAID). The potassium salt is absorbed quickly, which suits short-term pain that needs quick relief.

Common Side Effects

• Heartburn or indigestion
• Stomach pain and nausea
• Dizziness

Precautions

Take it with or after food and use it for as short a time as possible. Like all NSAIDs it can irritate the stomach and, with long or high use, affect the kidneys and heart. Avoid it if you have had stomach ulcers, and do not take it together with another anti-inflammatory painkiller.
