GEMIFLOXACIN
Gemifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for certain chest and respiratory infections. It is taken as tablets.

- Chest infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis
- Sinus infections
Common Side Effects
- Loose motions
- Nausea
- Skin rash
- Uncommonly, tendon pain
Precautions
Contact your doctor about any tendon pain, palpitations, or numbness and tingling. Keep antacids, iron and calcium at least a few hours apart from the tablet, as they block absorption. Your skin may burn more easily in the sun, and it is generally avoided in pregnancy.
