Letrozole lowers oestrogen levels in the body. It is used in breast cancer treatment after the menopause, and sometimes to help with fertility.

Precautions
For breast cancer, letrozole is usually taken long term, and your doctor may check bone health, as it can affect bone strength. Report ongoing joint pain or any new bone pain. Its fertility use is closely supervised. Take it as prescribed and keep your review appointments.
