Liraglutide
Liraglutide is a GLP-1 medicine given by injection under the skin. It is used for type 2 diabetes and, in some cases, for weight management.

- Type 2 diabetes in adults
- Weight management, alongside diet and activity, in certain cases
Common Side Effects
- Nausea, especially at first
- Loose motions or constipation
- Reduced appetite
Precautions
Nausea is common when starting and usually settles as the dose is increased slowly. Tell your doctor at once about severe, lasting stomach pain, as inflammation of the pancreas has been reported. It is injected under the skin, and the injection site is rotated each time.
