Overview

Bezclin 1% / 5% gel is a combination medicine that contains Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide. It comes as a gel. The pack contains 10 gm gel.

This acne gel combines clindamycin, an antibiotic, with benzoyl peroxide, which kills bacteria and unblocks pores.

Uses of Bezclin 1% / 5% gel

Bezclin 1% / 5% gel is used for:

  • Mild to moderate acne

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Bezclin 1% / 5% gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Dryness, peeling or redness of the skin
  • Burning or stinging
  • Sensitivity to sunlight

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.

Precautions

Keep it away from the eyes, mouth and broken skin. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach hair, clothes and towels. Use sun protection. Stop it and see a doctor if you get severe diarrhoea.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Clean and dry the affected skin, then apply a thin layer as your doctor or pharmacist advised. Wash your hands afterwards unless your hands are being treated. For external use only. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
