Overview

Bradex 0.1%/0.3% drops is a combination medicine that contains Dexamethasone and Tobramycin. It comes as an eye drop. The pack contains 5ml drops.

These eye drops combine tobramycin, an antibiotic, with dexamethasone, a steroid that reduces swelling and redness.

Uses of Bradex 0.1%/0.3% drops

Bradex 0.1%/0.3% drops is used for:

  • Eye inflammation where there is also a bacterial infection or risk of one
  • Use after eye surgery, as prescribed

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Bradex 0.1%/0.3% drops can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Brief stinging or burning in the eye
  • Blurred vision for a short time
  • Itching

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.

Precautions

Use it only for the time prescribed, as long use of steroid drops can raise eye pressure. Do not use it for viral or fungal eye infections. Remove contact lenses before use.

How to Use

Wash your hands first. Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and put the number of drops your doctor advised into the eye, then close the eye for a minute. Use it exactly as you were told. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Throw the bottle away after the time printed on the label once it is opened. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
