Cefol 10ml Drop is an active form of folate from Cell Laboratories. Its active ingredient is L Methylfolate. Pack: 10ml.

L methylfolate is folate in the form the body actually uses, so it does not need the conversion step that ordinary folic acid does. It is prescribed where that conversion is thought to be poor, or where a more readily used form is preferred.

Side Effects of Cefol 10ml Drop

Possible unwanted effects include:

  • Nausea
  • Bloating
  • Sleep changes

Get medical help straight away for signs of a serious reaction, such as swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing or a severe rash.

Before You Use Cefol 10ml Drop

  • Anaemia should be checked for vitamin B12 deficiency.
  • Do not double up with other folate products without advice.
  • Ask your doctor for the right product in pregnancy.

Storage

Store below 30°C with the cap on. Note the date you open it, because drops and sprays should be discarded after the in-use period on the label. Keep away from children.
