Overview

Dithroderm 0.1% cream contains Dithranol (0.1%). It comes as a cream. The pack contains 50gm cream.

Dithranol is a cream used for psoriasis. It slows down the growth of skin cells in the patches.

Uses of Dithroderm 0.1% cream

Dithroderm 0.1% cream is used for:

  • Chronic plaque psoriasis

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Dithroderm 0.1% cream can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Burning or redness of the skin
  • Brown staining of skin, hair, clothes and baths

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

For external use only. Apply it only to the patches and avoid the face, skin folds and healthy skin. Wear gloves or wash hands well afterwards. Stop it if the skin becomes very inflamed.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Clean and dry the affected skin, then apply a thin layer as your doctor or pharmacist advised. Wash your hands afterwards unless your hands are being treated. For external use only. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
