Uses of Optofen 0.03% drops

Optofen 0.03% drops is used for:

  • Preventing the pupil from narrowing during eye surgery
  • And eye inflammation after surgery

Side Effects

Common side effects of Optofen 0.03% drops include:

  • Brief stinging or burning
  • Eye redness or irritation
  • Temporary blurred vision

See your doctor if eye pain increases or your vision gets worse after surgery.

Precautions

  • Tell your doctor if you have asthma that is triggered by aspirin or other painkillers.
  • Tell your doctor if you bleed easily.
  • Remove soft contact lenses before use.
  • Do not let the tip of the bottle touch the eye or any other surface, to keep it clean.
  • If you use more than one eye medicine, wait at least 5 minutes between them.

How to Use

Wash your hands first. Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and put the number of drops your doctor advised into the eye, then close the eye for a minute. Use it exactly as you were told. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store as directed on the pack, away from heat and direct sunlight. Throw the bottle away after the time printed on the label once it is opened. Keep out of the reach of children.
