Overview
Redrona 5mg tablet contains Risedronate (5mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 14 tablet.
Risedronate is a bisphosphonate. It slows down the cells that break down bone, helping bones stay stronger.
Uses of Redrona 5mg tablet
Redrona 5mg tablet is used for:
- Osteoporosis after the menopause
- Osteoporosis caused by steroid medicines
- Paget's disease of bone
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Redrona 5mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Stomach pain or heartburn
- Joint or muscle pain
- Constipation or diarrhoea
- Headache
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
Precautions
Swallow it with a full glass of plain water while sitting or standing, and stay upright afterwards as the leaflet explains. Tell your doctor if you have problems swallowing, low calcium or kidney problems. Have a dental check before starting and report jaw pain.

How to Use

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
