Rivascot 20mg tablet contains Rivaroxaban (20mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 1×10's tablet.
Rivaroxaban is a blood thinner (anticoagulant) that helps prevent harmful blood clots. It is taken by mouth and, unlike older blood thinners, does not usually need regular blood-clotting tests.

Like all medicines, Rivascot 20mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
The main risk with any blood thinner is bleeding. Tell your doctor about black stools, blood in urine, or bleeding that will not stop, and mention rivaroxaban before any surgery or dental work. Do not stop it on your own, as this raises the risk of a clot. Take the higher doses with food.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Take Rivascot 20mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
