Uses of Telsitan 80mg tablet

Telsitan 80mg tablet is used for:

  • High blood pressure
  • Reducing cardiovascular risk in people at high risk
  • Sometimes used in heart conditions on a doctor’s advice

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Telsitan 80mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Dizziness, especially when starting
  • Headache
  • Tiredness
  • Back pain

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

Blood pressure medicines can make you feel dizzy when you first start or raise the dose, so stand up slowly. Your doctor may check kidney function and potassium from time to time. Telmisartan must not be taken during pregnancy – tell your doctor straight away if you become pregnant or plan to.

How to Use

Take Telsitan 80mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
