Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.
Your kidney function will be checked. It may need to be stopped for a short time before surgery or scans that use contrast dye. Avoid heavy drinking. Drink enough fluids and keep the genital area clean. Get help at once for nausea, vomiting, tummy pain or fast breathing, which can be signs of ketoacidosis.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Take Xenglu-Met 5mg+850mg Tablets exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
