How Zinc Oxide Paste 60gm works
Zinc oxide forms a thin protective layer on the skin that shields it from moisture, urine and other irritants. It is mildly astringent and has gentle soothing properties, which helps calm redness and allows irritated skin to recover. In sunscreens it reflects and scatters ultraviolet light.
Possible side effects
Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:
- Mild skin irritation
- Itching
- Redness where it is applied
Precautions
- Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
- Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
