Overview
Lamgin 100mg tablet contains Lamotrigine (100mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 1×30's tablet.
Lamotrigine is used to control epilepsy and to help stabilise mood in bipolar disorder. It calms overactive nerve signals and the dose is built up very slowly.
Uses of Lamgin 100mg tablet
Lamgin 100mg tablet is used for:
- Epilepsy, to prevent and control seizures
- Bipolar disorder, to prevent low mood episodes
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Lamgin 100mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Headache and dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Skin rash, especially early on
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
Precautions
The dose is increased slowly for an important reason: raising it too fast raises the risk of a serious skin reaction. Tell your doctor straight away about any new rash, especially in the first weeks. Never stop lamotrigine suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How to Use
Take Lamgin 100mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
