Overview

Evacef 1 gm tablet contains Cefadroxil (1 gm). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 10's tablet.

Cefadroxil is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic taken by mouth.

Uses of Evacef 1 gm tablet

Evacef 1 gm tablet is used for:

  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Throat and tonsil infections
  • Urinary tract infections

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Evacef 1 gm tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Nausea or stomach upset
  • Loose motions
  • Skin rash

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

Taking cefadroxil with food helps if it upsets your stomach. As with every antibiotic, finish the prescribed course so the infection is fully cleared. It does not work on colds, flu or other viral infections, and should not be taken left over from a previous illness.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Take Evacef 1 gm tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
