Uses:

Ciplox 500mg Tablet is primarily prescribed for the following bacterial infections:

• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Including cystitis and pyelonephritis.
• Respiratory Tract Infections: Such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Including cellulitis and wound infections.
• Gastrointestinal Infections: Such as traveler’s diarrhea caused by certain bacteria.
• Bone and Joint Infections: In cases where the infection is caused by susceptible bacteria.

Mechanism of Action:

Ciprofloxacin works by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase, which is essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair. By interfering with DNA synthesis, it prevents the growth and multiplication of susceptible bacteria, ultimately leading to their death.

Administration:

Take the tablet orally, with a full glass of water, as directed by your healthcare provider. It is usually taken twice daily, with or without food. Follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment.
