MOXIFLOXACIN
Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for certain respiratory and eye infections. It comes as tablets and as eye drops.
What Moxifloxacin Is Used For
- Chest infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis
- Sinus infections
- Eye infections, in drop form
Common Side Effects
- Nausea and loose motions
- Dizziness or headache
- Uncommonly, tendon pain
Precautions
Contact your doctor if you develop tendon pain, palpitations or any numbness and tingling. Keep antacids, iron and calcium supplements at least a few hours away from the tablet, as they block absorption. Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem before starting.
