Overview
Meflox 400 mg Tablet contains Moxifloxacin 400mg, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Made by Nabiqasim Industries Ltd, it is prescribed for pneumonia, chest infections, sinusitis, skin infections, abdominal infections and bacterial eye infections. Pack size: 5 tablets.
Uses of Meflox 400 mg Tablet
Meflox 400 mg Tablet tablets and injections are used for community-acquired pneumonia, flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, acute sinusitis, complicated skin infections and abdominal infections, usually when other antibiotics are unsuitable. Eye drops are used for bacterial conjunctivitis.
How Meflox 400 mg Tablet works
Moxifloxacin blocks the enzymes bacteria need to copy their DNA, so they cannot multiply.

- Nausea or diarrhoea

- Dizziness
- Changes in taste
Stop taking it and contact your doctor straight away if you have tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or severe diarrhoea.
Precautions and warnings
- It is not given to children and teenagers who are still growing, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Tell your doctor if you have heart rhythm problems, low potassium, epilepsy, liver disease or myasthenia gravis.
- Keep a gap of a few hours between tablets and antacids or iron or zinc supplements.
- Finish the full course your doctor prescribes.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
